Trainings &
Workshops

Raven image by Ashley Mersereau
The Raven Project has a long term vision of offering trainings and workshops locally on caregiving, death midwifery/death doula work and more.....

In the meantime we continue to present our
Art of Death & Dying monthly sessions at the Hoffman Center for the Arts in Manzanita where you can pick up bits and pieces. We do these sessions in no particular order but rather as topics and/or speakers arise....

We are also doing smaller open-ended house conversations on varying days and time... Sign up on our Contact page for our mailing list to receive notice of these and the monthly Wednesday sessions.

Resources Further Afield For Death & Dying Trainings:

Sacred Crossings - Institute for Conscious Dying and Family-directed Funerals. Rev. Olivia Bareham offers an excellent 3-class series called The Art of Death Midwifery - Usually held in Los Angeles (though Kathleen Moore and Lane deMoll were able to take Part 1 of this series in Ashland, OR).  Maybe we can get Olivia here some day!

A Sacred  Passing: A Death Midwifery Service - Bellingham, Washington. Death Doula Classes & Trainings

Final Passages - The nation’s first non-profit, educational institute and resource center dedicated to conscious dying, and a holistic, green, compassionate and dignified alternative to conventional funeral and after-death practices. They also created the first U.S. program to train others in the sacred art of Death Midwifery and Home Funeral Guidance.

Evening Star End of Life Services - a new group in Vancouver, Washington - Besides providing services to patients and families, they also do trainings for Death Doulas. (We haven't met them yet).
